Dr. Jianhua Shen graduated in 1990 with a degree in Clinical Traditional Chinese Medicine from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During his studies, he was personally taught and mentored by several prominent figures, including National TCM Masters Yan Shiyun and Liu Jiaxiang, as well as renowned senior TCM physicians Hu Jianhua, Xia Shaonong, and Ke Xuefan.

He has held academic and clinical positions in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Soochow University Medical College, the Department of TCM at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow Medical College, and the Department of TCM Oncology at Putuo Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Shen has long been dedicated to research in TCM-based cancer treatment and in the regulation of common diseases through the principle of “medicine and food from the same source.” He is the author of the book *Introduction to the Theory and Application of Medicine-Food Homology* and has developed a related course. He was the first to distinguish the concepts of **medicated diet** and **dietary therapy**, thereby refining the theoretical foundation and practical techniques of modern medicine-food homology.

Dr. Shen has received several honors, including the **Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award** and the **Shenzhen Health Industry Craftsman Spirit Award**.
